Delete your account
You can delete your Yaran account at any time. This page explains how to ask, what is removed, and what we have to keep.
In the app
Open Yaran, go to Settings, and choose Delete account. You will be asked for your password to confirm it is you. This is the fastest way and it takes effect immediately.
By email
If you no longer have the app, write to us from the email address on your account and ask for deletion. If you signed up with your phone number, tell us your account name instead and we will confirm it is yours before we do anything.
What is deleted
Your name, your email address and phone number, your avatar, your bio and your country are removed from your account. So are your friends and friend requests, your private messages, your notifications, the devices you receive notifications on, and your Google or phone sign-in links.
Nobody can sign in to the account afterwards, and it names nobody. Your name disappears from search, from the leaderboard and from other players' friend lists.
What we keep, and why
Two things stay, with nothing identifying you attached to them.
The record of coins and gems moving in and out of the account. Balances on Yaran are worked out by adding up that history, and some of those entries are receipts for real money paid through Google Play — records we are required to keep for as long as the law says.
Games you have finished. A result belongs to everyone who sat at that table, not to one player. Removing it would edit three other people's history in order to hide a fourth.
It cannot be undone
Deletion is permanent. There is no waiting period and nothing to restore afterwards — once your details are removed we cannot put them back, because we no longer hold them.
Coins, gems and anything you have bought in the shop are lost with the account, and are not refunded. If you want to spend a balance or use something you have paid for, do it before you delete.
If you sign up again
You are welcome to. It will be a new account, starting from nothing — signing in with the same Google account or the same phone number afterwards creates a fresh one rather than bringing the old one back. Your previous name may be taken by then, because it is released when the account is deleted.
How long it takes
Deleting from inside the app happens straight away. A request by email is usually done within a few days, and we will reply to tell you when it is finished.
