Yaran is a card and domino game. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we never do with it. It is written plainly on purpose.
What you give us
When you create an account we store your display name and either your email address or your phone number, depending on how you signed up. Your password is stored only as a hash — we cannot read it. You can also add an avatar, a short bio and your country, but none of that is required to play.
How you sign in
You can sign in with an email and password, with your Google account, or with your phone number. Google and phone sign-in confirm your identity with Google; we receive the account identifier and, for Google, your email address. We never see your Google password.
What we record while you play
We keep your game results, scores, statistics, achievements and your coin and gem balance, so your progress is still there tomorrow. Games in progress are held on our server, because the server — not your phone — decides the rules.
Chat messages
Private messages between friends and club messages are stored on our server, so you can read them again when you open the app. Staff may read a message that is reported to them, in order to act on the report. Blocking someone stops their messages reaching you.
Voice chat
Voice at a table goes directly between the players' devices. We are not recording it, we are not storing it, and there is no file of it anywhere. Our server only helps the devices find each other. You can switch voice off at any time in settings.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a device token from Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send them. You can turn any category off in settings, or turn them all off — and signing out removes the token for that device.
Purchases and ads
Gems and coins are bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment and we never see your card details — we only receive a receipt to confirm the purchase. Rewarded ads are served by Google AdMob. We use no other third-party analytics or tracking service in the app.
Who else sees your data
Other players see your name, avatar, level and whatever your privacy settings allow — you decide who can find you, see your statistics, appear beside you on the leaderboard, message you or invite you. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself. Open Settings in the app and choose Delete account, at the bottom. We ask for your password to confirm it is you, and it happens straight away. Deletion is permanent — the account cannot be recovered. If you can no longer sign in, email support@yaran.app from the address on the account instead, or tell us the account name if you signed up by phone, and we will confirm before we do anything. Your name, email address, phone number, avatar and bio are deleted, along with your devices, your friends, your private messages, your notifications and your sign-in links. The account itself is made anonymous rather than removed: the record of coins and gems moving in and out, and the games you have already finished, stay behind with nothing identifying you attached — a balance is worked out by adding up that history, and a result belongs to everyone who sat at the table. Records we are required to keep, such as purchase receipts, are kept only as long as the law requires.
Age
Yaran is not for children under 13. The games use coins and gems that can be bought with real money, so an account belongs to someone old enough to make that choice. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is a significant one, we will say so in the app as well.
